Poker Mode
Purpose-built for home poker — 2-layer buy-in system, side pots, blinds & smart settlement
Overview
Poker Mode transforms PartyPot into a purpose-built poker companion with a 2-layer money system. Players buy in from their base wallet to the table, bet from their table balance into the pot, and cash out back to their base wallet when done. When a player goes all-in with zero remaining chips, a side pot is automatically created so remaining players can continue betting separately. At the end of the session, the room owner settles using PartyPot's Smart Settlement algorithm — which calculates the absolute minimum number of transfers needed between all players. Every buy-in, bet, pot split, and settlement is timestamped in a full audit log. No physical chips, no manual counting, no disputes.
How It Works
Create & Configure
Create a room and select Poker Mode. Set the small blind, big blind, and buy-in range (min/max). Choose cash game or tournament format.
Buy In to the Table
Players join via QR code. They buy in from their base wallet to the table — this is the first layer. Rebuys and top-ups are tracked separately.
Bet from Table Balance
During play, bets flow from table balances into the pot — this is the second layer. Blinds post automatically based on your configured structure.
Side Pots Auto-Split
When a player goes all-in (table balance hits zero), a side pot is created. Remaining players' bets go into the side pot so they can still compete against each other.
Cash Out & Settle
Cash out from the table back to your base wallet. The room owner then settles the room — PartyPot's algorithm calculates the minimum transfers to clear all debts between players.
Why It Matters
2-Layer Money System
Base wallet → table buy-in → pot betting. Clean separation means you always know your total balance vs. what's in play at the table.
Automatic Side Pots
When a player is all-in, a separate side pot is created instantly. No manual math — remaining players compete fairly in their own pot.
Small Blind / Big Blind
Fully configurable blind structure. Fixed blinds for cash games, escalating blinds for tournaments — blinds post automatically each round.
Smart Settlement Algorithm
At session end, the algorithm minimizes the total number of transfers between all players. 5 players might only need 3-4 transfers instead of 10.
Full Audit Log
Every buy-in, rebuy, bet, pot award, side pot split, cash-out, and settlement transfer is timestamped and visible to all players.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 2-layer system work?
Think of it as your wallet and your chips. Your base wallet holds your total balance. When you sit at a table, you buy in (transfer from wallet to table). You bet from your table balance. When you leave, your table balance goes back to your wallet. The room owner then settles all final balances.
What happens when a player goes all-in?
When a player bets their entire table balance (zero remaining), a side pot is automatically created. The all-in player can only win the main pot. Remaining players' additional bets go into the side pot, which they compete for separately.
How does Smart Settlement minimize transfers?
The algorithm looks at everyone's final profit/loss and calculates the fewest possible transfers to settle all debts. Instead of everyone paying everyone, it finds optimal paths — e.g., Player A pays Player C directly instead of A→B→C.
